C-isms, part V

Mommy, why do you think Ms. Mc wasn’t at science night? Maybe she had something else to do – maybe you guys wore her out at school today and she’s already asleep! Do you think she’s dreaming about the boys and girls in her class?  Maybe she’s dreaming about us losing our recess!!!

(From writing journal) The mailman is inpornant to send us and every budy mail.

I can’t find my smile….it’s nowhere to be seen. I will be wearing my sad face for a long, long time.

(From writing journal) Once a puon of time there was a Mom. She was a helpful person.

Can you inside this out for me?

(After stubbing his toe) My toe is clobbered.

Do girls’ breasts just pop out? Does it happen in just a minute?

(As I’m getting ready to go out to the pool in a bikini…) Mommy, why do you have THOSE breasts on today?

How many babies do you think I should get? Maybe 2 or 3. Or 7. I’ll have to make a big house with 7 rooms. Where will YOU sleep, C?  I’ll share a room with one of my babies. Unless he has the flu. Then I’ll take care of him.

I never thought that we had different boobs for different days but ya know he is right, huh!?

He is so wonderfully observant of his surroundings. Well, I say wonderful but I bet there are days where you really wonder…lol.

I keep desperately trying to explain to him the difference between boobs and bras, but it’s not sinking in. He keeps asking things like, “Have you put on your breasts yet today?” He is just fascinated! I think part of it is the “formed” aspect of bras – I remember shopping with my Mom as a kid and just being entranced by those things on a hanger. So I’m thinking it’s more the bra that’s of interest.

    Never a dull moment! 🙂

When I was working with a child at the computer next to C’s, he looked over at me and said, loud & clear, ‘Don’t quit your day job.” I laughed and thanked him, then I realized he was playing a golf game and was on his 30th try on one hole – he had read that off the screen!

That is so funny – he came home saying that last week, repeated it a few times in the car on the way home and then asked me what it meant! LOL! I was trying to explain to him that when he and Daddy are playing video golf sometime and Daddy has a bad hole, he should say that to him as a joke. But he hasn’t been able to hold it in and is saying it everywhere, all the time. It’s been pretty funny! Ah, the things he learns in computer class! 😉

Didn’t you know that all teachers do is dream about making our students miss recess! lol
Say hi to C for me – hope your summer is good!

Well of COURSE we know that you are just plotting ways to skip recess. I’m sure it’s your least favorite time of the day. 😉 He was just asking yesterday if we could go over to your house to show you his half dollar he got yesterday at the post office. I told him we’d have to look for you at the grocery store and the library. So beware, we’re looking for you!!!

How absolutely delightful. I’m feeling prompted to start writing down cute moments of speech in the daily journal I have started for Little Critter! So often, I laugh at something she has said that is cute or funny and then later forget the word choice!

C is such a bright and delightful little man! Thanks for sharing!

I know – I realized this was the way I could remember all the funny stuff he says. Now whenever he says anything like that I write it down so I won’t forget!

I love C’s comments! I felt sad when he “lost his smile”. Maybe he’ll be a writer like his mom!

I do love the way he words things. It’s so cute. I hope it sticks with him as he grows up. 🙂

OMG…I just had a thought about the ‘boobs’ thing and had to log-on to tell you! And, this is silly but you just never know…tell C it’s like fingers and gloves – there are times when you need to wear gloves to cover your fingers…a bra is worn to, well…you take it from there…just had to share. LOL

That’s a really good idea! I’ll try it! THANKS! 🙂

I especially love the “Mommy, why do you have THOSE breasts on today?”. He is very observant and having a good eye will get him out of most trouble. Kids do say the funniest things.

I think the dimples really help keep him out of trouble too. 😉 Thanks for coming by!
